We are proud to announce that our 2013 Ponzo Vineyard Zinfandel has been awarded gold medal and 97 points at the 2016 North Coast Wine Competition.
With 4th of July quickly approaching, the obvious elements are top of mind: long sunny days, babes in bikinis by the pool, wine and (of course) BURGERS! Luckily, the gang at The Press Democrat took the strenuous task upon themselves to run a blind tasting for the best red wines to pair with your summer burgers. (Tough job, right?)
Job well done, because our 2014 Russian River Valley Grenache won for the Best Tasty Alternatives. Shout out with full article to The PD's blind tasting burger challenge.
Want to taste for yourself? You're in luck! We'll be pouring the winning 2014 Russian River Valley Grenache all weekend long.

THIS WEEK’S BLIND TASTING: Burger Reds
Best Tasty Alternatives:
Hart’s Desire, 2014 Russian River Valley Grenache, 14.4%, $30. (★★★1/2 solo, ★★★1/2 with burger): A tasty burger pick due to this wine’s tangy red fruit. Aromas and flavors of strawberry, plum and pomegranate. Lingering finish.
2015 Orange County Fair Commercial Wine Label Competition
Harts Desire Wine labels have been awarded 1st place in the Thematic Series category. As is our practice, all labels accompanying wines entered into the 2015 Orange County Fair Commercial Wine Competition were reviewed by the Label committee and assigned to one of 16 categories. The Label Committee, OCWS members with a background in Art mounted on display boards our labels, presented and voted by the wine judges and stewards at the competition site.
Our labels will be on display at the Orange County Fair July 17th through August 16, 2015.
